GamA – Gamified Assessment
Gamification is the application of game-design elements and game principles in non-game contexts. The project Gamified Assessment investigates the role of gamification elements in testing situations.
The project GamA aims to investigate the influence of gamification on motivation in testing situations. The idea is that individual variation in motivation may have an effect on the validity of measurements. Of particular interest is the degree to which interaction effects between response time, test performance, and ability are vulnerable to influence from gamification. This could potentially improve the validity of cognitive tests, for example, in the context of gifted student identification.
