Abstract: In der PISA-Studie von 2003 wurde als fächerübergreifende Kompetenz das Problemlösen erfasst, und zwar als nationale Ergänzung in Deutschland zum internationalen Testprogramm. "Dabei handelt es sich um Kompetenzen, deren Förderung nicht unmittelbar einem einzelnen Schulfach zugeordnet werden kann." Der Artikel beschreibt Problemlösen als Konzept und Forschungsgegenstand der kognitiven Psychologie und der differentiellen Psychologie, unterscheidet zwischen den analytischen und den dynamischen Aspekten des Problemlösens und skizziert den Selbstregulationsprozess beim dynamischen Problemlösen.
