EDK – System Monitoring

Project Description

The Swiss Conference of Cantonal Ministers of Education (EDK) tests the achievement of basic competencies (ÜGK) for the first time in 2016, including schooling and foreign languages, math and sciences. To test the basic competencies the EDK carries out a package of measures such as setting up an item database and administering computer based tests.

To support these plans the EDK cooperates with the DIPF Centre of Technology Based Assessment (TBA). Precisely, TBA develops solutions for the online item test delivery on school hardware, coordinates the external software development, provides the CBA ItemBuilder as a tool for item development and offers technical and content-related support for the computerisation of the test items.
