IDeA-Coordination

At the IDeA Centre, the development and learning of children with educational risks is studied interdisciplinarily. The coordination is responsible for networking, public relations, events, membership promotion and administration of the centre and serves as a unit of the Scientific Board.

Individualised Interventions

We develop psychological interventions that improve children’s educational prospects. To this end, we research how children acquire knowledge and how this process can be promoted. And we develop technologies that help integrate interventions into everyday life and promote self-regulated learning.

Information Management

The information management unit hosts an interdisciplinary team which researches and analyses information infrastructures and searches for information – developing open science and teaching practices in educational research and related disciplines.

Literature Information Systems

The "Literature Information Systems" unit prepares specialised information services for the Education Research Portal.

Practice and Transfer Oriented School Development Research

In close cooperation with practitioners, the unit investigates how to link academic and practical school expertise. The joint development of interventions and the study of quality improvement in all-day schooling complement the research work.

Teaching and Learning in School Contexts

The unit "Teaching and Learning in School Contexts" studies instructional processes that are particularly suitable for promoting students' cognitive and motivational developments respectively how teachers can succeed in creating such conducive learning environments.
