Research Data for Education
The unit offers services for archiving and reusing research data and information and counselling on research data management. This presents a contribution to promoting Open Science in educational research. The services are supported by research and networking activities.
The research data management unit focuses on promoting Open Data in educational research. The unit consists of the Research Data Centre (Forschungsdatenzentrum, FDZ) for Education, the Network for Research Data on Education (VerbundFDB), an institute-wide cooperation, ShaReD (Sharing and Reusing Data in Education), and current externally funded projects. The Research Data Centre FDZ Bildung allows researchers to make data and instruments available and archive them. The Network coordinates research data centres and offers counselling and trainings on research data management. FDZ Bildung coordinates an institution-wide cooperation, ShaReD, which is aimed at developing good practices of making available and using data in education – integrating them into relevant networks.
Information Centre for Education
The Information Centre for Education (IZB) at DIPF is the central institution for research and information infrastructures in education in Germany. The Centre moreover organises research and transfer of findings and links actors in education.
