Securing information from the project “Information service Open Educational Resources”
Information resources, materials and technical structures were stored sustainably for the project "Information service Open Educational Resources (OERinfo)" – subject to the German Education Server.
Project Description
The project "Information service Open Educational Resources (OERinfo)" ran from 2016 to 2020 and focused on the creation of an online platform which provides comprehensive information on the topic of OER to the public at large and specific target groups. The current state of knowledge is presented to practitioners, information is collected regarding best-practice examples and the diversity of existing initiatives is reflected. In this regard, the information service positioned itself as an interface between agents (at the federal and state level, research and infrastructure institutions) on the one hand and civil society stakeholders on the other hand (OER community in the areas of school education, universities, continuing education). The project aimed at retaining OERinfo as a central information platform for the OER discourse in Germany. Developments at the political level were documented (OER policies of the states, OER strategy of the federal government, possibly funding lines). With regard to future developments of OER infrastructures, the technical platform and relevant content were stored.
Project Objectives
